A special assembly was conducted for classes VI to VIII on the account of Buddha Purnima. Students were gathered to enlighten about what is Buddha Purnima and why do we celebrate the same. Buddha's Birthday or Buddha Day (also known as Buddha Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, and Buddha Pournami) is a primarily Buddhist festival that is celebrated in most of South, Southeast and East Asia, commemorating the birth of the prince Siddhartha Gautama, who became the Gautama Buddha and founded Buddhism. Students delivered speech , performed a group song and a solo dance dedicated to this occasion followed by the wise words of Guruji as he imparted his wisdom to the children.
