Spring is a season of freshness, joy and new beginnings. Basant Panchami, celebrated in honour of Goddess Saraswati, signifies knowledge, wisdom and learning. The festival also marks the arrival of spring and spreads positivity and happiness all around.
On 23 January 2026 (Friday), students from Pre-School to Class 2 celebrated Basant Panchami with great reverence, enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The children came to school dressed beautifully in yellow attire, symbolising energy, prosperity and joy. The reception area and school premises were decorated with bright yellow marigold flowers, making the entire campus look cheerful and vibrant.
The celebration began with a serene morning assembly where the children joyfully participated in Saraswati Vandana and mantra chanting. The devotional atmosphere helped the young learners understand the importance of prayer, discipline and respect for knowledge. The children were excited from the morning and actively took part in all the activities.
During lunch time, the children brought yellow food items such as yellow rice, laddoos and poha, which they happily enjoyed together, promoting sharing and togetherness. Towards the end of the celebration, the children enthusiastically made Basant Panchami themed crafts, expressing their creativity and celebrating the festival with great joy and happiness.
