An informative and engaging orientation on Anti-Bullying and Peer Pressure was conducted today for students of Classes III to VIII by the class teachers. The session aimed to create awareness about bullying, its various forms, and the impact it can have on individuals.
Students were sensitized about what bullying is, including verbal, physical, and social bullying, along with real-life examples. The concept of peer pressure was also explained, helping students understand the difference between positive and negative influence.
Through interactive discussions and activities, students learned practical ways to respond to such situations using the STOP rule—Say STOP, Tell a trusted adult, Own your feelings, and Protect yourself. They were also encouraged to act as responsible bystanders by becoming a “HERO” — Help others, Encourage kindness, Report bullying, and Oppose negative behaviour.
The session emphasized the importance of kindness, inclusion, and respect in building a safe and supportive school environment. Students were motivated to take a pledge to be kind, stand up for what is right, and never support bullying in any form.
Overall, the session was insightful and empowering, equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to handle bullying and peer pressure effectively.
