The students of classes III to V celebrated the festival of Baisakhi on 12th April 2023 in a special assembly, showcasing the important aspects of this harvest festival. The programme culminated with a Punjabi folk dance and a folk song presented by students.
The spring harvest festival celebrated every year marks the Sikh New Year and commemorates the formation of Khalsa Panth of warriors under Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. Baisakhi is also an ancient festival of Hindus that marks the Solar New Year. Baisakhi was also the day.
